Mrs Mbofung Attended Cat & Class Workshop
Mrs. U.I. Mbofung, the Head of Technical Division of T.Y. Danjuma Library attended the 32nd Annual Cataloguing, Classification and Indexing Seminar/Workshop that held in Benin, Edo State, between 21st and 26th October, 2012.
The Seminar afforded her the opportunity to learn new things on how to reposition herself and other cataloguers in her unit for information management in a networked environment.
Mrs. Mbofung is expected to impact her experience on the staff of the unit for effectiveness and efficiency in their operation.

400 Level Students – Training Programme for Research Skills
Sequel to our previous information on the above, the Virtual Library is organizing a training programme for research skills for ALL 400L students. This is to enable them use online resources effectively to support their final year project. The programme is scheduled as follows:
Thursday, 8th November:
1st group (10.00am – 12pm)
2nd group (2.00pm – 4.00pm)
Friday, 9th November:
1st group (9.00am – 11am)
2nd group (12.00pm – 1.00pm)
All 400L students are advised to report to the Virtual Library between now and Wednesday, 7th November to register their names against the preferred group. Please act fast!

E-RESOURCES MANAGEMENT TRAINING IN TYD LIBRARY
T. Y. Danjuma Library shall conduct an in-house training on electronic resources management for library personnel in its employment today.
The training shall take place in the Virtual Library at 10.00 am. Participants shall be equipped with basic skills for effective management of e-resources for efficient use by patrons.
The facilitator is Mr. A.A. Adeleke, the Visiting E-Resources Librarian.

E-RESOURCES TRAINER IN TYD LIBRARY FOR ONE MONTH
The library is informing our users, particularly
academic staff that our Trainer on E-resources training that held on 25 and 26
September, is here again. He will be
with us for a whole month. We want to
enjoin all academic staff to please, take advantage of his presence during the
period to get more acquainted to using online resources for research and
teaching.
More training programmes are being planned for
staff. However, we intend to organize
such on faculty basis as suggested by some senior academic staff. Details will be worked out with each faculty.

T. Y. Danjuma Library heartily announces the launch of its weblog. The blog
